Sewing Standards:
 Torrington Distributors processes and conforms to the rigid ASTM sewing standards. This practice covers the requirements
and characteristics of stitches and seams used in the fabrication of sewn items.
FAA Standards:
 Torrington Distributors offers cut and sewn products sanctioned by FAR 25.853 (a)
In addition, Torrington Distributors has a qualified Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative (DMIR)
sanctioned from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on staff. A DMIR may issue original and export airworthiness certificates, and can
conduct inspections of prototype and production products and related parts necessary to the issuance of certificates.
As an approved FAA Parts Manufacturing Authority (PMA) facility, Torrington Distributors supports both new and retrofit Aircraft
Cabin Seating.
Supplier Scorecard:
Torrington Distributors actively participates in Supplier Certification Programs. These programs consist of quality and delivery
measurement systems to assess performance criteria, and evaluate company and process control systems as stability criteria.
Quality and delivery performance comprise the Supplier Quality Rating.
